Application and types of protective facade mesh

The construction process involves many different types of work. In the process of their implementation, a fairly large amount of dust and construction debris is usually generated. Building materials or tools may also fall from a certain height, which makes it important to take appropriate protective measures. Safety rules must be followed to prevent injury to workers and bystanders. To exclude the occurrence of such situations, it is necessary to use high-quality scaffolding for construction and protective facade meshes. They are most often attached directly to the scaffolding, which provides the required level of protection for the work site.

Features of building protective nets

They can be made from a variety of materials, which has a direct impact on their functionality and reliability. Among the main options are:

  • Metal.
  • Polyamide.
  • Fiberglass.
  • Polyamide.

Each option has its own unique features and advantages. In fact, this is a woven fabric, which consists of a different number of cells, the density of which may vary. A continuous tape is located vertically, into which nodal elements are woven. Thanks to this combination, it is possible to achieve the desired indicators of strength and reliability, to exclude rupture and blooming.

Grids can also differ in color. Among the main options are red, beige, green. Usually color has little to no effect on the basic characteristics of the grid. Here, buyers are guided solely by their own aesthetic preferences.

Characteristics of protective nets

Building grids can differ from each other in various characteristics. They are usually directly affected by the manufacturing process. Among the main criteria that can be used to make distinctions are:

  • Canvas density.
  • Shading percentage.
  • Roll size.

Cell size can be standard. It is usually 10 by 10 or 15 by 15 millimeters. The size itself does not affect the strength of the mesh. However, at the same time, the canvas can transmit light better if there are larger cells. The percentage of obscuration is an indicator that is determined by the scope of application. If you want to provide high levels of protection from sunlight, you need to choose a model with a high percentage of darkness.

Polypropylene nets are not susceptible to corrosive processes, do not rot, which has a direct impact on the service life. They are very easy to attach to scaffolding due to their low weight. After application, the canvas can be dismantled without any problems, hidden back into a roll and transported to a new location.

Density must be chosen based on the purpose of use. If the mesh will be used on objects with potentially strong gusts of wind, it is better to choose a denser option.

Scope of application

Basically, protective nets are used to ensure the required level of security at a variety of construction sites. The main task is to create obstacles for falling tools, construction debris, materials and everything else. Compliance with safety rules at a construction site requires the mandatory installation of such a grid. But they can also have other functions:

  1. Construction dust protection.
  2. Decorative cladding of a building that is being reconstructed.
  3. Protection of the facade of the building, etc.

Nets can also come in handy in agriculture for darkening crops.
